Swamy, Naduvazhikal is a remake of the 1989 superhit Mohanlal film Naduvazhikal. Naduvazhikal was alsoscripted by S. N. Swamy and directed by Joshi. Prithviraj willdon the role of Arjun, which was done by Mohanlal in the original.Mohanlal's character Arjun is appropriately changed to suit Prithviraj. The story stands almost the same in the remake also.Naduvazhikal was a superhit in the 80's. Prithviraj is expected to do some lighter scenes in Naduvazhikal-2. He has been playing serious roles in his recent releases.Naduvazhikal-2 is expected to be an action packed thriller, laced with comedy andromance.Roopini played the female lead in the original movie, while Madhu played the character of Arjun's father Ananthan, who is the unofficial ruler of his native village. Thilakan, Murali, Sithara, Manianpillai Raju, Babu Namboodiri, KPAC Sunny and Jagathy Sreekumar played other roles in the original version.Meghna Raj of Yakshiyum Njanum fame will play the heroine for Prithviraj. There will be another heroine in the movie. Madhu's character will be played by Saikumar, while Thilakan's role will be played by Nedumudi Venu. Jagathy Sreekumar, Lalu Alex and Vijayaraghavan are also in the cast.Naduvazhikal 2 will have Pondicherry and Kannur as locations.This film is produced by S Chandrakumar under the banner Malavika Productions.Naduvazhikal 2 is onlya tentative name. The film is expected to be a block buster as its earlier version Naduvazhikal.
