The Tamil dubbed version of Amal Neerad's Prithviraj starrer Anwar (Malayalam) will hit the screens across Tamil Nadu on this Friday (November 19). Confirming the news, the heroine of the film Mamta tweeted: "Anwar in Tamil... Releasing (on) 19th November." Anwar opens with the visuals of the Coimbatore bomb blast and the introduction of a special team under Stalin Manimaran (Prakashraj), who arrests a local community leader Babu Sait (Lal) as a suspect in the bomb blast case. A Muslim youth Anwar (Prithviraj) is also arrested while passing on some hawala money and is sent to jail with Babu Sait and his team. Babu Sait helps Anwar in getting bail and lures him to his activities. Soon, Anwar becomes the most trusted and obedient right hand of Babu Sait. Anwar succeeds in planting a bomb in the police headquarters and is soon introduced to Basheer Bhai (Sampath), who selects him for a big dangerous project of chain blasts. Though Anwar goes with their plans, he has a haunting flashback which makes him act differently. That makes the climax of the film grand and interesting.
