Vidya Balan has done her first ever item number in Santosh Sivan's movie Urumi.Vidya plays the rolea Mohiniattam dancer and the itemnumber will be a mix of various classical and mix of various classical and contemporary dance forms. According to reports this item number will be very different from the regular item numbers in most of the movies.
Prithviraj plays thelead in the movie, which also stars Prabhu Deva.

The film is based onthe assassination of Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama who arrived inKerala in 1498. Prithviraj plays thegang leader of the group that wanted to kill Vasco da Gama
Urumi is being madein Malayalam, Tamil and English and hasbeen shot in the beautiful locales of Kerala and Maharashtra.
Prithviraj has produced the moviealong with director Santosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan.
