Santosh Sivan's Urumi is one of the most awaited films under production. Prithviraj plays Kelu Nair a warrior while Prabhu Deva plays Vavvali a merchant from Nagapattinam his trusted aide. Genelia, Jagathy, Tabu, Nitya Menon are also in the cast. Vidya Balan plays Makkom, a powerful role. Songs in the film are tuned by Deepak Dev to the lyrics of Rafeek Ahmed. Santhosh himself handles the camera while Sunil is the art director.
