her first Malayalam film. Says Piaa: "I wanted to shed
that bubbly, girl-next-door
image that I had in Tamil and
all of a sudden this role fell on
my lap. It is a realistic film and
I play a very interesting character opposite Pritviraj” The film titled Masters is being
directed by Johnny Antony
and also has Tamil director
Sasikumar (Subramaniapuram
fame) in an important role. After signing the film, Piaa
says that she spoke to her
mentor and guru director
Priyadarshan who told her "if
you want to lean the fine
nuances of acting, go do a Malayalam film" . Piaa is all excited as she is
getting hundreds of fan mails
on social networking sites
welcoming her to God's own
country. "I am so touched by
the love and warmth that I am receiving after signing the film.
I am truly going to enjoy the
experience of working in a
Malayalam film", adds the
actress.
