show was screened at the Four Frames Theatre in Chennai recently. It was mostly a celebrity and a trade show which witnessed the presence of UTV Dhananjayan, Jayam Ravi, Bharath, Prasanna, Sibiraj, Yuva, Ashwin Sekhar, singer Swetha Mohan, Malgudi Subha and others. Urumi has Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Genelia, Nithya Menon, Jagathy, Tabu, Vidya Balan and Alex ONell in the lead roles. The Malayalam version of the film was released on March 31st 2011 and was a hit at the box office. Santhosh Sivan, apart from handling the camera, has also directed this film. For the Tamil version music is given by Deepak Dev for the lyrics given by Vairamuthu The Tamil version of Urumi will see the light of the day once a potential buyer comes forward. Urumi has been jointly produced by Prithviraj, Santosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan the August Cinema banner
