Young superstar Prithviraj's romantic comedy Teja Bhai and Family, being directed by Deepu Karunakaran with Akhila as heroine, has been confirmed for release on August 26.
According to reports, the theatres in Malabar area, which form around 40 to 45% of the box office collections from Kerala, requested the makers to postpone the release date to August 31, because they feel that if the film is released on August 26, it will not take a good opening in Malabar due to Noyambu period, which only ends on Ramzan day which is likely to fall on August 30 or 31.
However, producers Shantha Murali and distributor Murali Movies Madhavan Nair want to release it on August 26, to get the advantage of a solo release and a four day weekend, it is heard.
