Months of speculation finally come to an end! Audiences will indeed be treated to the exotic pairing of Rani Mukerji and Southern superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, courtesy Anurag Kashyap. The talented director is all set to don the producer's mantle yet again for the film helmed by Sachin Kundalkar, director of National Award winning Marathi film Nirop. Kashyap recently revealed this on his micro blogging site and wrote, "Confirming our next production to be directed by Sachin Kundalkar and starring Rani Mukherji and Prithviraj..goes on floors september."
Signing on with different production houses seems to be a conscious decision for Rani as this yet untitled film will be Miss Mukerji's third one outside of the YRF banner this year. While the January winner No One Killed Jessica was produced by UTV, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akthar are the producers of An Act Of Murder in which she stars opposite Aamir Khan. Both Kundalkar and Prithviraj make their B'Town debut with Kashyap's flick. The former is mostly known for his Marathi films and Prithviraj has many South Indian blockbusters to his credit, the most recent one being Santosh Sivan's Urumi. However, this won't be the first time that Kashyap takes on the role of the producer. His maiden venture, Udaan received much critical acclaim and was a major hit at international film festivals. While That Girl In Yellow Boots is still doing the rounds of various festivals, 'Shaitan' is ready for a
June release. Another project, 'Michael' starring Naseeruddin Shah is still in the post production stages.
