newly-wed Malayalam actor has
lady luck shining on him and how.
Barely two days after his
wedding, Bollywood director
Anurag Kashyap confirmed Prithviraj’ s much speculated debut in Bollywood — believe it or not — with Rani Mukerji as his co-star. Anurag, who himself has been
busy since he’ s tying the knot this weekend, told us, “This untitled production will be
directed by Sachin Kundalkar.
Prithviraj will indeed be making
his debut with this film. Rani
Mukerji will co-star alongside
him.” Sachin has so far directed some award-winning short films. Anurag, who is currently working
on his next film, Gangs Of
Wasseypur, says, “This film is scheduled to take off sometime
in September. We’ re waiting for Prithviraj to finish the Malayalam
films that he’ s given nod to before us before we start off.” Prithviraj, whose Bollywood
debut has been on the cards for
a while, had initially denied
reports of him starring in this
film. “Prithviraj did not want to confirm until everything was
finalised. He is a little
superstitious that way, where
he doesn’ t talk about his newer projects until they go on
floors,” says a source close to him.
It is also learnt that
Mukerjeeshould mostly be done
with her commitments towards
Reema Kagti’ s Zakhmi alongside Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor
by September. Let’ s wait and see how this new pair sizzles on
screen.
