The fastest rising Malayalam superstar Prithviraj who was last seen in Tamil in Mani Ratnam's Raavanan , is now back with Anwar. It is a Tamil dubbing of his stylish Malayalam thriller Anwar directed by Amal Neerad which took 2010's best opening in Kerala. However, Anwar in Malayalam can be classified only as an average grosser, as the cost of production was very high. The film talks about how Muslim youths in Kerala are being lured by fundamental organisations to terrorism. Prakash Raj plays a cop hot on the heels of the terrorist while Mamta plays a Muslim girl who lost her family in the Coimbatore blasts. The highlight of Anwar is the music of Gopi Sundar. Tamil Anwar is releasing on March 11.
